Het weekend is praktisch weer voorbij, sterker nog, again a week has past and what has happened in my life? Well, for starters it was quite a crappy week for me. Loaded with work and far too little time to finish it.

On top of that I was driving to Den Haag for a meeting and while I was driving one of the project directors called me and simply told me that he had expected me to finish all work he had given me before the meeting while I told him (and e-mailed him to confirm) that I could not complete the extra assignment besides my daily project activities. Great ;-(. Not.

Anyhow, the meeting went OK and the participants were impressed with the work I had done so far…now I’ve got time to finish it…In the evening I went the the weekly informal meeting with colleagues and I drank a few beers and at 6 pm I went to the Christmas meeting at Snowworld. It was very cool, I had never been there before and it is so cool to see people stumbling and falling while skiing. We had a few drinks (now non-alcoholic of course) and enjoyed quite a good dinner.

Around 10 I thought it was enough for the day and went back to Utrecht. The next morning I was really happy I took the day off so I enjoyed an nice night sleep. I had an interview at quite an interesting company, I am curious what will come out of that.

On friday evening I went to a cafe called Havana in Arnhem, quite a nice place to go to for a drink or even dinner and I was impressed with the enormous amount of people dining there. Unfortunately I had alreade eaten so I drank a few drinks there with Hilde and we talked for ages it seemed. At 1 o’oclock the lights in my eyes went out telling me it was time to go home.

Damn, I only just turned 30 and already I am getting tired at 1 o’clock? While driving home a lot of snow surprised me completely, you don’t expect to drive in a clear sky at one moment and all of the sudden the road is completely white, covered with a pile of snow…Carefully I continued my journey home, not speeding this time.

The next day I looked out of the window! Great. Snow. No work to do outside! I filled my day with study, reading and ….Internet and in the evening a girlfriend whom I had not seen for like four years came online. Gone were my thoughts of jumping into bed early that evening. We agreed to meet each other in a cafe we used to go with lots of our friends and we talked for hours about the past, present and future. I never thought to see her or some of the friends out of those days again but it happened and it certainly was very nice…and today? Somehow I decided to write this post in English, I don’t know why yet, while writing I am thinking about it.

For now it is enough, a new week lies ahead with chances and opportunities. I wish you all the best for today of course!
